Ali from Sadhana Yoga has just finished her Master’s study on Yoga Communities in NZ. Next, she will be renovating a former health facility, and setting up a new yoga centre in Marton, Rangitikei. The vision is to open the new yoga centre in May, with a full range of yoga classes, teacher training, and meditation, drawing yoga-lovers together from around the lower North Island.
- the new yoga centre will run 8-10 classes a week, including: lunchtime (12.10pm), and early evening (5.15pm/5.30pm) classes.
- we will also run meditation and spiritual development courses, as well as specialist weekend yoga workshops.
- the new ‘iconic’ art gallery will be open on Saturdays from 10-2pm. However, new exhibition openings will take place on Friday evenings (by invitation only) for art enthusiasts and collectors. Exhibitors welcome.
The facility at 20 Stewart Street needs a face-lift, but the ‘bones’ are great and the vision for a yoga hub in Marton plans to bring positive energy to this beautiful rural town. We are surrounded by heritage buildings and town is only 8 minutes from Bulls and 2 1/4 hours out of Wellington. Yogis, artists, creatives, and sadhus always welcome.
Ali has been teaching yoga for 12 years and has a huge amount of experience with injury managements, health and fitness training. Contact Ali directly on either at sadhanayoganz@gmail.com or nzyogacentre@gmail.com
Congratulations Ali – I can see you making this place into a fantastic art and yoga hub. Look forward to see it up and running. Hope to attend your teacher training courses. All the very best. Lalita
